1. Medical examination and medical documents obtaining.
1.1 Who has to pass medical examinations:
- Foreign citizens temporarily staying in the Russian Federation for the purpose of labour activities (Including HQS. Not dependent on length of stay).
- Foreign citizens temporarily staying in the Russian Federation for other purposes for more than 90 calendar days.
1.2 Who is exempt from medical examination:
- Citizens of the Republic of Belarus
- Officials of international organisations entering the Russian Federation in connection with their official duties as well as their family members.
- Children under the age of 6.
- Heads of diplomatic missions, consular offices of foreign countries and their family members.
1.3 Deadlines for medical examination:
- Within 30 calendar days from the date of entry (or when applying for a patent, work permit) - for foreign citizens arriving for labour activities.
- Within 90 calendar days from the date of entry - for foreign citizens arriving for other purposes for a period of more than 90 calendar days.
1.4 When to update the medical examination documents (re-examination):
- Once a year - for everyone except the HQS
- When applying for work permit renewing – for HQS
1.5. Where to pass medical examination:
In a medical organisation in accordance with the list established in the territory of the relevant constituent entity of the Russian Federation. You can check the list for Moscow and the Moscow region by contacting our company.
2. Fingerprinting and photographing
2.1 Who has to pass the procedure:
- Foreign citizens temporarily staying in the Russian Federation for the purpose of labour activities (Including HQS. Not dependent on length of stay).
- Foreign citizens temporarily staying in the Russian Federation for other purposes for more than 90 calendar days.
2.2 Who is exempt from the procedure:
- Persons who have already passed the procedure.
- Citizens of the Republic of Belarus
- Officials of international organisations entering the Russian Federation in connection with their official duties as well as their family members.
- Children under the age of 6.
- Heads of diplomatic missions, consular offices of foreign countries and their family members.
2.3 Deadlines for the procedure:
- Within 30 calendar days from the date of entry (or when applying for a patent, work permit) - for foreign citizens arriving for labour activities.
- Within 90 calendar days from the date of entry - for foreign citizens arriving for other purposes for a period of more than 90 calendar days.
2.4. Fingerprinting and photographing are done once, regardless of the number of entries into the Russian Federation.

Migration offices of the Ministry of Internal Affairs territorial bodies, as well as other subordinate bodies in accordance with the list established in the territory of the relevant constituent entity of the Russian Federation.
