Bellow you will find a list of documents to be submitted to a Russian Embassy or a Consulate to obtain a Russian entry visa:

Visas for Tourists:

1. Your original passport with at least 2 blank visa-designated pages (passport must be valid for at least 3 months after an intended departure date from Russia).

2. Two copies of a Russian visa application form, completed and signed.

3. One passport-size recent photo signed on the back.

4. For tourist groups ? a letter from a tourist company (travel agency) confirming itinerary and including a copy of the confirmation from an authorized Russian tourist company (travel agency) which shows the reference number and confirmation number for the visa.

5. For individual travelers - a confirmation of hotel reservations from an authorized Russian tourist company (travel agency), showing reference number.
   
   If the hotel booking is made independently by the tourist himself through internet or otherwise and the traveling agency should be advised accordingly by the tourist. Hotel booking information will be included into the letter of invitation.

Visas for Business Travellers (single, double or multiple):

1. Your original passport with at least 2 blank visa-designated pages. Passport must be valid for at least 3 months after an intended departure date from Russia.

2. Two copies of a Russian visa application form, completed and signed.

3. One passport-size recent photo.

4. For a stay exceeding 3 months or multiple-entry visa an HIV test is required.

5. A formal invitation from an appropriate Russian organization designating the purpose of your trip to Russia on business. 

Appropriate instructions for a visa will be sent to a designated Russian Embassy or Consulate by telex or directly to you by fax, e-mail or, if necessary, by an express-pouch, in which case an additional forwarding fee will be imposed.
